Jo Blake Review
I liked Jo’s use of facial expression during the telling of ‘We are Pathmakers’. It was especially effective in the story of Abu Hassan’s Slippers. I would incorporate this into my storytelling as I feel it was useful to see as a member of the audience as it kept my attention during the story. I also liked the way Jo linked several stories together around the main frame of views from a car park in Northampton. I would try to incorporate this into my story walk as it created a very polished feel having all the stories intertwined through personal feelings of Jo. I learnt lots from Jo especially how to engage audiences for a long period of time and also create a good pace in stories, as she was very successful in creating a balanced pace in her stories enabling her to speed up for dramatic and tense areas.
